I coach gymnastics, and because of that have thought of starting an Olympic commemorative collection. Really enjoyed seeing your collection!

Thanks all. It is a fun set to put together with a nice amount of silver. I find the design of these interesting because they range from very artistic to no effort taken with a dash of ugly thrown in.

Nice start to a collection.
If they don't make an album to suit your needs build your own.
I have a few "self made" Dansco albums.

That is really nice. I like the uncirculated too. But whatever do you do with all the boxes and paper that they came in? I am drowning in them, but was told by my LCS to save them for when I want to sell, since the original packaging is desired. I'm going to a coin show Saturday and will look for those blank album pages.

Quote: But whatever do you do with all the boxes and paper that they came in? For the ones that come with OGP, I have them in a box in my closet. The rest either came in 2x2's or slabbed. I like finding the loose ones b/c I don't have to worry about saving any packaging and I might save a couple of bucks as well.

Very nice looking set ... congratulations on what you have collected so far. There are a few more expensive coins still to come ... looking forward to watching your progress. David

I have a complete set of the Modern Commemoratives dollar and half dollar coins and the mint state coins have much lower mintages than the proof coins and were much more expensive to purchase when I was putting my set together about 5 years ago. I automatically buy the new releases each year and will as long as I'm around as I'm 72 years old now.
