I don't share my bed with coins but with another collector. I collect them to keep - she collects them to spend!

I was very happily married for 35 years, she died from pancreatic cancer three years ago. I still cry.

Coins are no substitute for a good wife.
My coins always have, and always will sleep by themselves in a safe in another room.

I get half the bed, the other half is usually two cats, a laptop, Krause, the blue book and a couple of Dansco albums.

Once I fell asleep while roll hunting in bed. it being summer time and hot I wasn't wearing a shirt at the time. I woke up in the morning with coins stuck to my chest and back. they were falling off as I walked to the shower.

At my elderly age I think more of how to get out of bed than sharring with coins.

For a while, I used to store most of my collection in a nice wooden chest (complete with lock) that went near my bed.
Then, about two years ago, the chest ended up pinned down by unrelated boxes during an attempt at house cleaning, and... well, I've basically ignored it since. The best description I could think of for the current state of my collection is "all over the place".

Actually, just checked, and it's perfectly openable, not even locked, and just pretty much ignored for the past several years. There are many coins in there that I hadn't seen since 2013... nostalgia!
Wonder why I hadn't done it earlier...
