Its a sham plain and simple.a gas buble maybe. But still not worth much.
I think this coin was on a thread here before.ill try and search it.

Thanks Roger. I knew I posted that loonie somewhere but couldn't find it quickly. I paid much less than $100,000 for it. In the $50 range as I recall. I would be interested in the 2009 with the bubble as a companion piece, but I sense the seller & I have a considerable difference of opinion on what the value should be.

I remember when the seller wanted $100,000 for this "error" loonie haha! Surprised he is still trying to sell it, I would have given up by now.

I was offered a Constitution dollar struck on a penny, and a 3 stuck loonie at recent RCNA for 10 grand, really cool errors but have curtailed my buying, that's kind of where the error market is today. Would you remotely pay a 500.00 for this error? |
