Wow that's fantastic! I have come across (3) 1972 pennies that I thought were DDO's but ended up being the Master Die doubling. Congrats  |

Here is a difference I discovered on the date to tell the 003 & 008 apart.  The images are too small to tell for sure which one it is. (glare also hides what I need to see) |

Ehhhh still tough by looking at the bar of the 2 on this one but by the look of the entire date I have to stick with 003 myself but let's see what others say

The notches in the 1 and 7 indicate 1972P-1DO-008.

No. The shape of the 2 suggests 003.

I see 003 variety,not 008.

Its 008 look at the notching and not just that it also has diagonal die flow lines at the back of the 2 like the 08 and the 003 has more horizontal lines at the back of the 2. I would like to see other markings but pretty sure its 008
