Thanks for the information but I don't buy ANY notes. I am the owner/operator of a deli that deals in almost all cash transactions.
Rest in Peace

How many counterfeits do you detect on a daily basis?

The currency is genuine, the errors are self made with zero premium value..
ebay is flooded with fake errors, both coins & currency..

I've been quite lucky ... Only one $20 bill that I can remember. It was about 5 years ago. Most of my
$100s come from the bank.

Parklane64, I just got back from the bank from making a deposit. They found, what they think, is a counterfeit $100 bill. It's on its way to the Secret Service to confirm. If it is fake I will have to take it off of my taxes next year. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper!

You don't use a testing device on $50s and $100s?

I found this on the Bay yesterday, and while I believe those that follow my Web Postings will know immeadiately that this is a PMG Label Error, as this note is not a Web Note..
I did message the seller, but I believe he knew this and just wants to get top dollar for this note..

Bottom Line, This is a Minor Misalignment Error and not valued anywhere near his asking price..

Why are you posting screenshots instead of links?

I can get these removed if you post them in the appropriate forum, please post links.

Sorry if there was a problem.. Just showing how dishonest these sellers are, and honestly, not sure how to post the links unless I copy & past the ebay link..

Feel free to Delete this complete thread..

Just paste the item number and it will automagically turn into a link.

Post them in the US counterfeit forum and I'll have them removed. Post one bad listing per topic and I'll take care of them.

I'm new here, so maybe I'm missing something, aren't the screenshots good to have? The ebay listing won't remain viewable for very long after the auction ends or is removed. With screenshots, the thread keeps its educational value. I don't collect currency and was reading this thread more or less at random. I learned quite a bit I didn't know before.

Excellent thread @Broken-Coin.

I recommend to all new currency collectors to read this thread in its entirety. Knowledge is power.

I was told by a reputable source that the pens don't always work. I guess it was just one that fell through the cracks. I'll be more careful in the future. Sorry for the late reply.

The Pens should work as I believe all US Currency is still a blend of 25% Linen & 75% Cotton..

If changed, please advise..
