XF-40 for sure and XF-45 would not surprise me at all. Nice CBQ!

Solid 40 with reasonable strike. Originality of the skin is impossible to judge from those photos but I don't see any warning signs. Nice example.

Very strong35 or that barely makes EF40.

Many thanks for all of your opinions.
I had the obverse at VF35 as well, with a stronger reverse.
I will post my own pictures when I get it and lets hope it looks good in-hand.

VF35
I am curious as to how uniformly gray the surfaces will be in-hand or if it will have much darker peripherals with signs of an old water and rag as you move towards the center. My best guess is the photos are light-enhanced for sale purposes. I think its all original, but I think they monkeyed around.

Hi DS, yes, I shall be eagerly awaiting to have it in my mailbox. If I don't like back it goes, but I think it will be OK.

I bought an 1848 Seated quarter from the same seller. I am really curious about that one.

I think you will be okay as well. Like I said earlier, I feel it will be all original surfaces. Typically aged and handled circulated silver from the 19th. An 1848 LSQ is a very nice pick up. Is there a sellers pic?

Depends on who is grading this coin, for sure ..... I've got it at a VF35 but if sending in for grading the coin may hit XF40, depending on?

Concern and won't know until in hand is the color / tone but trusting Seller didn't overstate or have bad eyes, looks like a winner!
