Glad you got it resolved.
It makes me sick to think how many people get ripped off.

From his reply to ebay, it did not appear English was his first language!

Other than reporting a buyer for non-payment or the buyer making threats there isn't much else a seller can report about a buyer.

Do you really think you should keep his coin? You should send him a couple bucks at least! ha ha!

Seller asked ebay to cancel return request I'm guessing is where the case opened against me came in .... But really I had no clue and was surprised to see the notice in the inbox with heading: seller has asked ebay for help ..... Now the same message says resolved .... Anyways put he darn thing into grandkids book, frustrating in that I'm still looking for a fair value AU 1918 Buffalo .... I think ebay paid the $13.50 refund and the seller got to keep his money as well, sigh ..... And I got a nickels worth, right?

Quote: I do my serious shopping at shows.. I made the foolish mistake last week, to think that anything at a coin show would be genuine. Bought 2 1833 rubles only to find that they stick to a magnet. I wasn't even paying attention to Counterfeit Detection. I never thought that a dealer at a large coin show would be serving that kind of stuff.

I am not quite sure what is worse on ebay . The optimistic bidiots who really do believe that Santa Claus is alive and well in the field of numismatics or the sellers who cater to them..

There are bunches of fishes in the sea and the larger ones need food, some easy pickens, especially when they can hide in China or foreign county and feast on minnows born in the USA ..... ebay - You need to be careful .... Use protection ..... Such as Credit Card, even when running through PayPal and ebay guarantee and PayPal can help too .... But using a credit card is important if you get scammed .... If you pay cash or use a debit card or Paypal balance getting a refund can be tougher but with a credit card you always have that resource to help back you up .... There can be some really good deals on ebay but you have to be both willing to take a chance and study well ..... Here is a nice nickel, lower grade but not cleaned and is a good strike for this series and date .... And I paid under $20 - If I was to sell think I would ask minimum $175 ..... Coin has PCGS price of $350 in VF20 and I believe this coin would easy grade VF20 to maybe VF25 .... Even a VG10 sells for $45-$55 .... Here is the listing .... What did not help was the pictures ..... I think I was just the lucky dog who got the bone ..... 391334019127
