I've been detecting for three years and have found a grand total of three Indian Head cents. You've certainly had a lot of good luck! Thanks for sharing your collection.

This 1863 was recovered @ Harpers Ferry VA by a good friend. I traded him a beat up 10kt gold band for it. I've dug quite a few Wheats but never an FEC or IHC, and they mostly look like this, or worse.

It's settled I'm getting a metal detector, lots of old railroad sites and one room schools in my area. Gonna find that lunch money.

I'll throw out a plug for a Garrett AT Pro (if you want to do any water hunting) /GTAX 1250, or Whites MXT Pro, great detectors but going to cost some money even used. For affordability and ease of use try a Garrett Ace 350. Don't forget to invest in some detector essentials such as a good set of stereo headphones, carry bag, a pinpointer, rock brushes, a couple of probes, and some trowels and grass pluggers. Later on once you get more advanced you'll get interested in bigger & smaller coils, etc.
Should also add only detect with the property owner's permission and always respect the environment and others.
You'll get addicted the first time you pull out gold or silver or a relic.
