Ty Fuzzy. I was wondering if it was cleaned as well. Had a feeling it was too good to be true.

Listing has been removed.

I was trying to VAM it...but it was just a little off. Only 6 VAM varieties for this coin and it didn't match any of them. So I agree it is a fake.

Not only are THEY BACK - but he has dozens and dozens and dozens of 1895-O. The only date he's selling. Dozens. Removing just one doesn't faze him, I'm sure.

This guy needs a nuclear Bobby Bomb.

Thanks to our host these listings disappear fast. It might be useful for the OP (or others posting similar threads) to save and upload pics of the coin to the thread and possibly a screenshot of the fraudulent listing before it goes poof.

Yes, would you post a new link or the sellers name? I hope we can get all of them off!

Good advice Joe. This is the 1st counterfeit coin I found, and to be honest, I was thinking maybe it was cleaned or altered in some way I wasn't seeing. I wasn't expecting the counterfeit diagnoses....but do agree with it after taking another look last night. Will take screenshot next time.

The date does not look like it belongs with the rest of the coin. Even if is genuine, which I doubt, hairlines indicate that it has been "improperly cleaned."

The 5 looks funny, and it was probably rubbed to get the grey cast look off of it, but it still looks cast.
