Member in good standing with the Manitoba coin club & I joined the RCNA (actually it was the birthday gift I requested).. and I have never been happier! The coin club is a bit more administrative at the meetings than I'd like but I do have the chance to meet with some pretty neat people. And I have really enjoyed those connections. The RCNA membership in my opinion is something that's completely worth it! I have really enjoyed the Journal that they publish. For that literature alone it's worth it! But then on top of that you have access to their library and there are several other perks for members that just make it awesome I would encourage everyone to be a member. Unlike SPP I didn't get a lifetime membership, I only have a 2 year membership for now but I could totally see how a lifetime membership is a GREAT deal!

I am a member of the RCNA and the ANS. I am submitting an application to exhibit part of my collection at the RCNA convention in Ottawa this July.

Ya, I let my C.C.N. subscription laps. The CN journal looks much better. Between that and Canadian History I do not think I will miss C.C.N. too much.
I heard your praise of the wooden money society so I will probably be joining them as well. It looks like I am getting up to the Saint John Coin Club sale. DO you guys still do the wooden nickels?
Who here is a member of Canadian Association of Token Collectors? Is it pre-confederate heavy or is it a nice exonumia mix? I collect pre-confederate but probably not enough to get a big kick out of said organization if it only covers pre-confederate.

Quote: APNA, this group is active again sponsoring the show noted above To me, active means producing a newsletter and, well, being able to get in touch with (there's no online presence --- what do members receive for their dues?). Putting their name on a show and giving a small amount of seed money (they have a huge bank account) isn't much of a return. Sure hope that changes.

RCNA member Edmonton Numismatic Society member (editor of The Planchet newsletter) Former CONECA - was good but very America-focused when I was a member I do get the CCN. After suffering through the last few years, the CCN appears to be getting better. Lots of articles are now done by Jeff Fournier and are well-written / professional.

RCNA, ANA, ONA, CPMS, SWCS, WCS (Honorary LM), ICC, Stratford CC, CAWMC and CCCC. Renewal time is always a fun adventure! I usually start in September in order to get caught up by Christmas.
