Mechanical error, either a typo entering it or the labels got switched and there is a 74 claiming to be a 76... they will fix it for free, or you can keep it as a cool piece.

I'm keeping it as another example that nobody's perfect. I particularly like the fact that it's in a gold shield security slab. Maybe I'll sell it if I find somebody that actually collects these things. For now it's just a "chuckle".

Yes. I'm reminded of this

"Sir, do you realize you have one blue sock and one brown sock on today?"
"Why you don't say - I have another pair just like it at home"

Don't have them tesla it... PCGS just gave you some extra dough as you should get a nice little premium for it as a label error!

PM darth morgan or davec I'm sure they might pony up a small premium

I say a quarter with a Nickel label. They'll reholder for free. The error slab is probably worth more than the Ike, though.

Tesla was awesome and very under appriciated in the annals of history thanks to a shrewd and cunning PR master he out maneuvered in every other aspect by his emense genius.

Oh wait, you mean the Elon Musk Tesla don't you

No, I meant the Serbian Savant.

Do not get me wrong. If Telsa showed up in my driveway I am not going to complain.

Musk is taking preorders for the new one right now

I wonder if he paid a license fee to the Tesla estate for use of his name

I do not think so. The name was actually chosen by the company founders before Musk got involved.

- Yes, I'm waiting. I have an NGC 1972 Type 1 Ike with a Type 2 label, but at least they got the date right.

If that was the case then I could see this thing going for enigma money. Wow. That would be so cool. I guess the final grader/inspector of this slabbed coin has some explaining to do. LOL.

Well, at least they didn't put a 1979 SBA on the label...kidding aside...PCGS just graded a 2014 KILO Mexico Libertad of mine...I almost fainted when I got the email, with results....mS69....not PL69...they even photographed it...by the time I got the email, it had been shipped. I called, and got a hold of S....e......NO apology whatsover...just a "I'll look at the photo, and, get back to you with an email for resubmission"...my God...last year, they did the wrong year on some 2014 silver proof Britannias(made them 2015's)...do you know it took 7 weeks to just put the right label on and send back?
I'm done with PCGS..screw the higher prices they command..NGC get all my coins and submissions now...PCGS is running a long outdated business model with terrible communication and a lot of mistakes...are they so cheap, they cannot hire the people to get the job done right, in a timely manner? hmmmmmmmmmm

Little known fact: Some of the 1976's were actually released with the wrong date printed. To make matters worse, the mint decided to release them into circulation 2 years earlier to cover the mistake.
