Nice find chaos!
Most likely from a collector (or former collector) :-)

Another possibility -- a bank teller who had been stashing Buffalos away accidently grabbed the wrong roll. Or a fellow co-worker accidently grabbed it and placed it in the drawer.

As I've said before, if there is a recession, we can expect to see older coins put into circulation.

I really doubt someone would be that desparate to put coins like that into circulation for face value. But if any of you are thinking about doing that, keep me in mind...I'll give 2x face!

I have had my best hunting during recessions, semi-recessions, and times of inflation. That roll of Buff's is just amazing. When I first commented, I didnt remotely imagine a roll with such coins in it.

GASP !

NO MERDE !

I still want pictures but the user has ignored that. I am the kind of person that doesn't believe it till I see it.

If that roll really did come in a box of nickels from the bank, that is the find of a lifetime. Stop now. You struck the mother lode.

Somebody really messed up by giving that to the bank. THere is NO WAY someone puposely put that back at face value.

something doesn't sit right when someone claims they found thousands of dollars worth of Buffalo keys in a box of Jefferson nickels...
