Hi Proof Nut. It's going to be a very busy schedule for me too. Looking forward to it as well. Hope to squeeze in some sightseeing though. Definitely not going to be enough hours in a day to do all that I want to accomplish. It may mean a return visit.

The Ottawa coin club (called the Ottawa numismatic Society) will be hosting the convention and I will be volunteering in the hospitality room on the Saturday.

Is there a daily admission fee if one just wants to visit the bourse?

Amaths, there is a fee of $6.00 and the Bourse is open from Friday until Sunday. ANA members should be able to get in free with their membership card. These event as I'm sure most realize are a tremendously labour intensive undertaking and provide a wealth of services and benefits to members and the general public which far exceeds the amount charged for daily admission. Head over to the CCN website or check out their latest issue for more details including the program of events. BTW, there are a few changes that effect anyone registered that signed up for the Nostalgia & RCM tours on Thursday.

Discovery, PM sent.
Too lengthy of an explanation for this thread. Suffice it to say that the convention committee has their hands full with last minute changes.
Kudos to those tackling the challenge of trying to satisfy registrants needs.

Had a wonderful time in our nation's Capital. Indeed a very busy week with meetings, tours, auctions and of course friendly conversations. It was nice meeting you Discovery and thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself. One interesting item I found (are we doing a show and tell here?) in my travels was located at the gift shop in the War Museum. I am certain that the obverse features our 12th Governor General Lord Byng though the accompanying documentation makes no mention other than the number of those who died during the battle. Quite impressive at 44mm and 47.6 grams, so much so that I was compelled to make a second trip in the scorching heat to purchase two more! Fortunately it was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and on my way back I stumbled upon the Fireman memorial unveiled in 2012.

Proof Nut it was nice meeting you as well. This was my first RCNA Convention. Also had a wonderful time and a very busy week. Disappointed I didn't make it to the War Museum.

Congratulation to the host committee for a job well done. I was at the RCNA for most of Friday and Saturday. Attended a few meetings, met great people and was able to purchase a lot of items to fill my collection. Once again, thank you to all the volunteers for a job well done. Looking forward to attend the event in Bucherville next year.
