Just realized that I'm going to spend most of August away from home, so if the letter arrives in the last days of July (which seems about right) and the post office doesn't send me a notice quickly (which is sadly common lately), I might not be able to receive the letter before it passes the 30 day deadline for retrieval and presumably gets returned to sender. I hope this won't be the case (after all, several separate unfortunate events need to coincide for this to happen), but you have to be prepared that, if my luck is particularly bad in this case, you might end up getting your letter back sometime in September.

Myself, I do not know how long it might take for you to receive your prize. That note in particular has previously been purchased via a local auction site by an idiot who didn't pay for it. So I already received it back once. I don't want it to be returned again Anyway, all prizes were sent by regular priority mail (not registered), as that would be too much of an expense to me considering the number of letters to send. Here, we don't get any notice for regular international mail from the post-office, unless it's too bulky to fit in the mailbox. Do you, even if it's not registered?

All the letters I received from CCF members before had coins in them, not banknotes, so they were too bulky to fit in the mailbox.
I suppose it's possible that a letter with just a banknote inside will just go in the mailbox as a regular letter.

Today, when opening my mailbox for the first time in a week, I found a letter from Poland, with four colorful Polish stamps, postmarked July 12 for Poland and July 26 for my local post office.
I have not opened it yet, but tentatively I suspect this is my prize in this contest - so, thank you in advance, I suppose!
(I might add a confirmation post when I actually open the letter.)

After a lot of distractions, finally opened the letter four hours ago.
WOW that's one really beautiful note. A lot better than I expected too. Even my mother agreed it's beautiful, and she's not a collector.
