Hello! I do have a few other hobbies. These include building model rockets, gaming (not excessive and extreme, but moderate), using telescopes, playing tennis, collecting vinyl records, and more. I don't metal detect because I've heard many negative results from many people before (though I have thought about doing it from time to time). My opinion is always open to change, though. I don't check for change in OTHER people's houses, as I feel that the coins found rightfully belong to them, but I do look at the ground all the time.

Quote: @Parklane - do you check the couches at other peoples houses? Heck , I used to whenever I was over any of my aunt's and uncle's house's . but at that time I was only 12 and finding silver dimes ,quarters ,and halves was a common occurrence.

Hey do you also collect/ stack gold and silver bullion or semi numismatic coins? Btw I also a fellow young collector. I find semi numismatic coins to be better investments because of my tight budget :(

Welcome! I had an interest in coins near that age, and then puberty struck. After that, "life happened" and it became a distraction I didn't have time for. Only recently have I begun to really look at what has become of coin collecting these days.

Wow... eight years
I didn't mean to bump this to the top; was just looking back through old posts.
I'm 23 now. Still loving the hobby :)
