Yes I agree the reverse is normal which it wouldnt be if it were a capped die was what I was saying.... I'm thinking its gotta be Struck Through Grease, no idea why it looks like that tho less its PSD along with it

Looks like it was struck through a deteriorating die cap. It is wearing thin at this point, thus the detail from the obverse die is showing through.

That's a head scratcher for me, my guess is a deteriorated die cap. At first I thought it was a Greaser but the obverse surface texture is odd. I can tell it's a zinc, can you see the last digit in the date?

Hope that Mike Diamond will chime in.

I am like the rest; that texture is seemingly unique. My specimen and other specimens I've seen have smooth, wavy surfaces. The crinkles on this one make it different.

Coop, you do mean struck-thru a deteriorating die cap right? Can't be a die cap itself wouldn't look like this correct?

As others have surmised, this cent was struck through a late-stage die cap. The custard-like texture is not particularly unusual among zinc cents.
Error coin writer and researcher.
