Thanks Mont - I appreciate that. I have to say these are a lot more exciting than the quarters that I search.

Here is another die marker for one of the VAMS - the chip at the top of the left Wreath.

Here is an image of the neckline - but I can see absolutely nothing. My scope just isn't strong enough.

I will see what the VAM 7 is about in the meantime - thanks for your help.

VAM 9... Or 9a if it has the N clash at the back. I don't see it though

Thanks Cascade I don't see a clash either (at least not with my equipment) Is the VAM 9 one of the ones that adds value?

What do you think the value is based on VAM 9 and coin condition/grade?

Thanks

I will go and check the die markers on VamWorld

It's not a value adding VAM the ones that typically add value are "list" vams. It will say top 100, hot 50, hit list 40, WOW, Kipton 12 or Elite 30. Those are the "lists". They are listed by date to the left of the page and says it on the top of the page if it is on one of the lists

I can't tell from the pictures if there is a die gouge above the Left Arrow Feather. If there is then you could possible have a Top 100 VAM 9. The dash under the 8 is consistent with an 8 over 7 strike. Again I can't see the 7 under the 8 in the images.

I think you're thinking about VAM 5 with the gouge above the arrow feather which is a top 100.

Op, the N clash on the 9a is way higher than that and there would also be a line coming out of the neck. Check out the 9a page to see where the N clashes

I guess I can't edit my previous post. I meant to put VAM 5 in the topic.

Well, my die markers for VAM 9 are not panning out so well.

I do not have any die chips over State OF.

No die chip on the 2nd L in Dollar

No die chip above the star between ONE and UNITED

I do have a possible long Die gouge running out he the O if OF and heading WNW - it is raised on the coin.

Because I don't have these - is mine an earlier die stage?

Nope, not the VAM 5 - no matching die markers for this one. Thank you though.

Yeah too bad it's not the 3a. What's cool though is the same exact die pairs were used for a 79cc VAM 6 so that means they repunched the date and paired it with its same 79cc reverse. Not value adding cool but to VAM guys it's a cool thing that happened.

I was watching Xmen Apocalypse last night while helping you out and boy was it good for the 18th Xmen movie. I was a little distracted but I still should've seen this a v3 right off the bat even with the sub par pics for VAMming. Sorry about that

My boys like Xmen as well - I appreciate your help no matter what - you and the others did a great job considering the images. I just can't afford to upgrade my equipment right now and these are about the best I can do with my Android Smart phone and USB microscope.

Thank you very much :)
