Quote: Why the Niagara Water falls looks like a "Lovely Couple" valentine theme to me? It's been a honeymoon destination for many years. I have photos of my parents' honeymoon at Niagara Falls, wearing those funny looking black hooded raincoats. That's why I want this coin. Call me a sentimental fool.

Niagara Falls is known as the Honeymoon Capital of the World. "The actual phrase "Honeymoon Capital of the World" didn't start appearing until the early 1900s, and it was often put on promotional posters and brochures. With the opening of the Erie Canal and the building of railways, Niagara Falls suddenly became a lot more accessible to people. With the invention of the automobile in the 20th century, the option of travelling to Niagara Falls was open to even more people. Couples were drawn to Niagara Falls not only because of the mesmerizing waterfall, but also the many lovely and secluded parks and paths that provided for many romantic moments......" http://www.today-magazine.com/culture/1101/

@wildflowerAB Thanks for the great Niagara Falls summary. Was too tired and lazy when I posted, but I knew you'd come through!

Quote: Just ordered 6 since I don't buy NCLT anymore.
Low mintage 15,000 and low premium. That's nice, and coin in overall...but it always will valued as bullion, even bit less, when some coin shop will offer its price.

Close to bullion price for a low mintage, low premium big coin that looks much nicer than most bullion, imo. Smart move. I'd rather lose a little on this beautiful coin than 50% or more on on most NCLT.

I would agree with the second part, the purchase is better than NCLT.
But multiple purchase gives nothing here, IMO.

Sorry to bump an old thread. However is there any news on a 2nd coin in this series? It's been over 2 years.
