The max I'd ever pay for this ugly trinket is FV. And do you know what? I am sure there are enough gullible folks out there that they will sell a few hundred of these ...

Weight of the coin is 315.71 grams, or about 11.12 US ounces. So there is about $245 of bullion there. Therefore, a 5 times bullion value for a price is just about right for many of the mint products produced and sold... (not that I agree with that!).

Personally these are not coins in my opinion... but they would make great Monopoly playing pieces!!

I purchased the second coin on impulse and then I gave my head a shake.I have just cancelled the second coin (the Cougar) because of that reason. First they look the same as the grizzly bear but much uglier. Second they increased the price without letting us know, and third it's another commission coin by Steve Bromberg. Oh and there's a fourth I don't know what the heck you want to call it, a piece of art or a coin or just plainly a blob of silver thrown on top of a coin and call it unique. What's next coins with miniature royal doulton statuettes. when will it end. Phew, I'm exhausted

Can we disrespectfull a bit and not polite, saying, that although statuettes well done, but this suits maximum jewelry store and minimum some cheap souvenire store. From the numismatic point it just a junk.

According to the Q&A for this coin the reason for the price increase is explained this way:

Quote:
Your question is not attached to a specific product, but I would assume that this refers to the pure silver gold-plated sculpture coin. If you buy these coins in a subscription, the price for each coin from #1 to #5 remains at $999.95. However, if you buy them individually, only the first coin has the price of $999.95; the price for coins #2 to #5 has been increased to $1,099.95 each.Answered on 11/22/2016 by Yudi (Product Team) from Ottawa

It seems that the item disappeared on the RCM site. I wonder what is going on. Perhaps they too agree that it is ugly and are in the process of changing the look. Just a thought. I also left a review which never got posted. The rest of the series are also 100 dollars more which is probably the greed of Steve Bromberg.

Am I the only one thinking the last coin in this set should be a shark?

Does anyone know why the RCM pulled the Cougar coin off their site? Very odd that it totally vanished.

It's possible that it was removed because it was added to the web site ahead of schedule. The Cougar is scheduled for a February 2017 release - having it appear on the RCM web site in November 2016 might have been an accident.
