The images aren't clear enough to see for sure. The Machine Doubling seen on the date is close to what is found on some 1969-S DDO-002 cents.

Even if it does turn out to be the 002, it's a minor doubled die, not the famous 1969-S DDO-001 that is worth the big bucks.

I don't see any other doubling that would make me think this is a doubled die, but clearer images may help.

There are many experts out there that can't even tell the difference between a large and small date 1970-S and can't tell worthless doubling from a true doubled die. Some of these people are even coin dealers.

Thanks everybody for the replies I knew it wasn't the infamous double day that shows a clear huge doubling but I believe this to be called is pivot Machine Doubling am I not correct like a #5 or #6? I know what the infamous 1969 S is worth I just wanted to know what the machine style was worth that I have because I found a third one yesterday. The only question I had is How come one style of Doubling is more expensive than the other? Is the reason only because they caught it after 40,000 were already accidentally made and then they destroyed 20,000 of them or what I don't get it? that's all I was asking and no I didn't buy these I found these coin roll hunting. And I want to think CWB for his knowledgeable response and non-demeaning or snide reply you are a gentleman and a scholar my friend thank you.. I've only been collecting and searching for coins for six months and I feel I know more than some of you guys of been doing this for 15 years not say I do I just feel like it but I'll tell you this when the reasons why you guys can't get no new blood into this hobby is because of some of your guys comments when people ask questions you guys think you know it all and talk down to people all the time and then treat everyone as such..

Some collectors will buy this type of doubling on ebay, but it is a striking error not a die variety.

This is not the big DDO for that year. It looks like a normal common one from that year. A lot of the cents during the 1968-1972 years had the machine damage on the devices. But to me this coin is not showing hub doubling. It should look like this:

I think the numbers for this die is quite low in number. Probably close to less than 50 known examples. The numbers are slightly climbing though. 20,000 would be a huge number though.
