Thanks and appreciate the info. I'll have to get some of the Verdi-Care. I have never worked with either of them before but Acetone they say is Okay for coins - just worried that I would damage it.

So a quick dip and then let it air dry?

Cleaning coins reduces their value. The variety is plainly visible. Nice find.

Thanks CM - I know that is why I have never done so - I thought it might look better in general on the Obverse.
I have read that an acetone bath - so long as you don't rub it with something is not considered a "cleaned" coin?
I will leave it as is at least for now.

A bath is cleaning. It's really more important with the more valuable coins. Even when PCGS "conserves" one, they drop it a grade. Still, a nice coin whether you clean it or not.

Congrats as well. I've found only two myself, they're not as easy to find as the 2000. Yours looks to be in pretty good condition, you might try to seal it to keep it from rotting any more, may extend its life.

Super awesome congrats! Personal opinion but a quick acetone dip to remove oils or fingerprints I dont think would harm it all-think john said not to let it soak because if there is any holes or broke plating it can end up looking a lot worse after sitting in acetone for awhile
