Nice haul I know that the '64 nickels are home to the "PLURIDUS" variety from an over polished die, but I have never found one out of thousands searched. Hopefully you might get some full step '64s!

Awesome pickup... I'm winning an auction for a roll of War Nickels which I'm hoping I get it for under melt...

Excellent score! Maybe I should move up beyond penny roll hunting. It's just that if I search a whole box of something else, I come up with bubkus. And that's a lot of cash for my Amazon fund.

Quote: I'm amazed people let their coins go for under melt... good pickup! The first one I paid melt for it but I made it up on the second one where I paid under melt for it... There were in two packs with 40 coins each... The first one I won it for spot (at that time) $32.05 + $7.95 S/H = $40 The second one I won it for $23 + $7.95 S/H = $30.95 I didn't get these on ebay (refuse to use it), I got them on another auction site that only facilitates the auctions so they got paid...

Bryan78, I can TOTALLY understand your contempt for ebay. I'm not a fan at all now, particularly with how they almost force people to use PayPal, and how feedback scores are really no longer an accurate reflection of either buyers or sellers in current form. I'm kind of curious why they would charge $7.95 S/H... I can ship a roll of nickels for $2.77 with my discounts on ebay ($3.49 without)... either way, you still made out like a bandit.

ebay is definitely not great for buying, but it is one of the better outlets for selling (despite the fees)

Dual-brain, I actually feel just the opposite about ebay today... Buyers now have a huge advantage over sellers. It was much more equitable when Meg Whitman was running things.
