I've been looking for one of those for a long time now. Nice find. I think the other one I saw was on here, can't remember the cause, but looking at yours I'd say over-polished die.

I have been just glancing at the 64's while roll hunting, but this one stuck out like a sore thumb. I have to refresh myself about once a week on what might be out there. I really enjoy the nickels...

Yes haha the condition could be better. Jefferson's home in Mt Vernon, Va. You can bet he stored his wine there.

Seeing these 64D's is making me mad! Now I gotta look for something else, after looking for cracks and RPM's!

It's a 57-D Greaser, comes with a hair from Jefferson's wig. lol Sorry about that it's one of my early photos.

For those that may be looking a little closer at the 1964's, don't forget that there is supposed to be a double die mint mark also. I haven't seen that one yet.
