I really like the look of this set. I ordered and cannot wait to see them. Excellent designs.

Congrats for ordering.

just ignore stupid bulky basic maroon case

I like the designs as well, the 1 cent looks , imo, specially "neat".

Interesting point:
Now we getting them as the 38mm 1oz silver coins, but design looks like bit busy for example for 5c coin....

@Silveroid

Thank you very much for the chuckle. I know that I go on and on about boring maroon clamshells with black sleeves. LOL LOL LOL

I keep posting my disdain about these black sleeves in every single post in hope that someone from the RCM reads one of my comments about the packaging.

Some of you probably do many eye rolls when I go on and on and on about the boring black sleeves with those boring maroon clamshells!! LOL LOL

surprised it hasn't sold out yet.

Not surprised at all given its mintage of 5500. Too high.

Did not go that quickly considering it took 3 weeks to sell out. Also still available at Canada Post and other coin dealers.

After I understood, that I do not really need it, I was able to sell my " RCM 3-coin Proof Royal Baby set" for 60% of issue.
...after it has been sold out by RCM.

Funny thing....the 2013 gold superman coin never sold out at RCM. It was archived.

AND, today it has almost tripled in value. So, coin collecting like life is "like a box of chocolates according to Forrest Gump!"! You just never know what you are going to get.

I just received this set and it is absolutely exquisite and I cannot believe that none of these coins ever made it into circulation!! Stunnnnnnnnnning!!

Received mine today as well. Very impressed! Don't mind the bulky case since the insert comes out for display.

Certificate # was ridiculously high 3375/5500 and disappointing.

Were MC members not entitled access to low numbers? More broken promises.

@Proof Nut

Low certificate numbers are only advertised on certain issues of coins for MC. I, too, am disappointed with the numbered COA's I receive for most of my coins from RCM and I am platinum prestige.

I get better from dealers that I do not spend as much. Such a shame.

At least this set is beautiful. I also want to add that I saw a video of coins being produced by the mint and they came out in a bin. I believe that they just pick up a coin and stick a certificate in it.

certificates have never , ever been associated with the actual order in which the order on NCLT coins have been stamped and issued..

@ silverwolf

No secret there regarding the certificate numbers, just that until New1954 mentioned it I had assumed the offer applied to all orders in current MC year.

This is the first major purchase with an accompanying certificate by me since the perk was announced.

Those that I've noticed being offer with low COAs are actually separate item numbers.

For example, item No. 158439 is the regular issue of the 2017 1oz Piedfort Timeless Icons where as item No. 158391 is the same coin but with a low COA and I believe only available to MC members.

IMO it's a very odd way to offer this 'perk' and it seems it's only been available for a small fraction of RCM coins.

@ CC-Ottawa

I agree that really is an odd way to offer the perk. Why just not set aside one for the first 1500 MC members who order.

The other thing about the certificate is that there isn't much of the write-up which is noted on the website. Too bad this wasn't included as it was one of the reasons I bought the set.

I've since copied it to a document and printed it off and didn't know anything about the two designers.

Gustav Hahn was the older brother of Emanuel Hahn and James Macdonald was one of the founding members of the famed Group of Seven....
