I think I know what my problem is... I'm addicted to buying ! The hunt for the coin, the bidding (or bargaining), the tension of winning an auction, it's habit forming.

Sikevo............ We ALL have that "urge".......the battle is containing it and making proper well timed and thought out purchases that don't harm your personal budget too drastically!..... p.s. for those "coin collectors" who've never heard of the word "budget"...it IS located in the Websters Dictionary in the "B" section !.....(that's where I found it !...Ha Ha )

Coin collecting is an addiction, but you have to be an addict first. Go to the watch forums, or wines, stamps, cameras, furniture, guitars... You will always find similar souls "suffering" from xas, where "x" is the object and "as" stands for acquisition syndrome. How many Leica lenses before the divorce, or where to find that perfect Patek Philippe? I like to, or need to rotate my collecting, so I don't drown in any particular obsession, but I always come back to the ones I love. (And if you know where that watch is...)

Thanks. Glad to know there are people just like me. I feel like I'm in therapy already...

Therapy? No, no, that too expensive, just don't do it anymore.

Skip the therapy, spend the money on coins instead. Much more satisfying. Lets just call this 'Group.'

How much junk silver have you accumulated ? I've been slowly shifting my junk silver into SAEs and bullion bars. I still have 12-13 rolls of Franklins and '64 Kennedy halves. Already traded up all my 40% halves.

It's a good idea to "trade up" with ones "junk silver" and turn it into better quality coins...... But I'm addicted to increasing the size of my "junk silver pile" before I do that.......I can never get enough of it....and I'm just after a "modest" amount......I just hope I'm able to get satisfied on it and sell it BEFORE silver takes a dive and tanks !!.......(maybe with gold, it'll just keep gaining and gaining in value for the next 40-50 years !.......hummmm?)

I've sold about half my junk silver hoard before the big drop last week. Still have SAEs and 10 oz bars. Also may try to consolidate my platinum assets. Too many 1/10 oz coins...
