2015 P Jefferson Dime Unique Error?

2.3 grams is normal weight for a dime, unlikely the outer clad layer is missing.

Sorry guys but I'm with (nfine) on this one because of the weight and the guys from my local coin shops agree that this Dime is not damaged but they can't quite put a finger on it. But I have some more pictures il post in a few.

If it was missing both obverse and reverse clad it would weigh noticeably less. A pic of the edge might help some.

I currently have 5 of these, light to dark brown color, was told it's just toning by local coin shop.

There are some very knowledgeable folks giving you the benefit of their experience on your Jefferson dime, who bears a striking resemblance to Franklin Roosevelt by the way. Sure, they're not always right but in this case I think they've come up with the most likely scenario to explain your coin.

I've put coins in the oven to see what would happen to them and they usually turn out to be this color. Perhaps that's what happened to yours?

I myself just came across one tonight so I started investigating right away...its not worth anything unless uncirculated...they are clad composition...91.67% copper and 8.33% nickel..... :) :)
