So does anyone have any idea of these coins contents?lead with gold plating?Brass? I guess to get the weight of gold they would have to use lead. Silver's another matter though,I felt the weight of some fake ancient coins apparently out of Eastern Europe, they seemed to weigh the same as silver, looked silver, but what where they?.any ideas of the metal used to resemble silver? Those images are stunning Learjet, scared the c**p outta me,just cant buy on ebay anymore

Looks like he saw the light and cannot bring himself to rip people off anymore, or maybe change his name.

It's interesting to follow the link suppluied above. Look at the description of each item, and the price paid. A lot of Ebayers are happy to win a "1985 proof gold sovereign 4 coin set mint cert and box" - that's 68 grams of gold - for AU $295.90 (# 380017284182) - that's about one-eighth of "melt" value. But they are surprised when the deal doesn't go through. This is not just another case of "Fools and their money ...", but rather "Greedy people and their money ..." Another interesting feature is that, at the end, he was pretending to offer gold coins and high-value power tools. I suppose it's a simple matter to recycle a couple of pics into dozens of listings ... but I would have thought that someone would have asked a question about so many 1841 Mohurs coming onto the market at once. But, he established his positive feedback by selling low-priced trinkets - which he actually delivered. A premeditated and well-prepared scam. And one easy to repeat. Perhaps it's already underway ... The risk-managers at ebay & Paypal must be squirming. Peter in Oz

He's no longer "a registered user". We'll have to keep an eye on someone selling the same type of coins with a different user id.
