Nice coins there, Ron!

I notice that your Viradaman seems to have the same obverse doubling as the first one I posted:

Perhaps long lost brothers from the same die? Very cool if that is the case!

The Vijayasena coin you posted shows clear date on its obverse. It reads "100+50+8" making that 158 S.E. Converted to AD, that becomes 236.AD. According our information, Vijayasena came to rule in 238/239. Viradaman, son of Damasena and brother of Vijayasena was ruling in 236. But he is known to have ruled as Kshatrapa. Your coin legend must be "maha kshatrapa" because of the gap between "rajno" and "kshatrapa" though off flan. So this demands more study and discussion. A good specimen for study indeed!

Another coin of Rudrasimha. Here, parts of date "200" is clear. Next part looks like "40" that does not conform with the known period of Rudrasimha-II (widest being S.E.226 - 239). The second part may not be 40 perhaps. This coin also is a specimen wanting discussion.

Same ruler, but different die where the left end of the "river" mark extends to between "ra" and "jna" of rajna.

Here's one I'm struggling with...
Hoping someone can help with the rulers name?

I can read Rajno Mahakshatrapasa but then I'm lost!

Thanks in advance Paul

Bhartradaman:

Nice coin! I have a handful that I still haven't attributed yet... lesson learned and I won't typically buy these unless the full ruler's name is legible on the flan!

I agree, this one only cost 6$, wasn't attributed and I just liked the portrait, then suddenly realised some of the rulers portraits are very similar so started looking into the legend, or lack of!

I like this series and will collect more but with rulers name legible.

Thanks again for your help..Paul
