Grant the "request to cancel" and be done with it. After that, block that user from bidding on your items. There's no need for that mess and you're being jerked around by an idiot. Or, just cancel the sale yourself if there's no other option. It won't hurt you. Good luck! Edit: Here is an example of the stupidity on ebay. Buyer left me positive feedback but... I'm sorry but, that invokes every time I think about it.

Always honor your customers with consideration and respect.
Always live by the code that the customer is always right, even if they are wrong.
Being right is never the position of importance, try to make your customer right.
If all of this fails and you can honestly say you've tried to live by this creed and failed, walk away and forget the incident as quickly as possible.
If you can put it behind you quickly, you have overcome a challenging situation.

Definitely call ebay, if nothing else but to make them aware of the harassment. See what they suggest. Probably cancelling the transaction is best. ebay should back you 100% seeing as the buyer is a whacko. 13 emails = whacko category.

It sounds to me that those buyers were just trying to get their items for free. That's terrible I always try to be a good ebay customer and pay as soon as I can. There's no need to ask the seller if they shipped the item because ebay lets you know that it shipped. People are so inconsiderate.

Sounds like he has his finger on the "Negative" button no matter what you do!

So now he is saying he never sent a request to cancel, and waited three days to send me the first message. I sent him a link showing he is either lying or just real forgetfull.
Now he is saying he still hasn't got it. And put a hold on his account.
Just like I figured he would. Man is obviously looking for a free coin.
The funny thing is he has a lot of feedback, all talking about quick communication. Obviously he is an irritating customer. But I don't see him as a scam artist. Though it IS running the same path.

I typically err on the side of the customer, and sometimes it cost me money. I agree contact ebay customer service for advice before making a decision on how to handle.

Well, this turned out exactly like I thought it would he said he never got it. He asked a number of times for a tracking number. I told him that I sent it out in the middle of the night just to get him out of my hair, and just put stamps on it and sent it. Apparently he cant read, or was setting up a case for ebay. Well, he got his free coin.

If anything, this can be a lesson. As I and others said, you should have cancelled the sale. Don't get overly worried about what ebay may do in that case because, most likely, it will be nothing. No one on ebay can "threaten" anyone with no communication. That's a negative there. I agree that customers should be treated well and respectfully if they behave respectfully. It's obvious that one cannot actually mail something in the middle of the night or on Sunday. You were being badgered by an idiot. Make sure that you block that user from purchasing anything else from you. I hope it wasn't too much of a loss.

You got " Bididioted" by a real smooth " Beauty" here. Two errors . Always honour the request to cancel . ebay sees the first request from the "Bidiot" and will back you all the way . Never ever send untracked items .......you will pay one way or the other.

I buy and sell a LOT on ebay and if there is one thing I've learned NEVER ship without a tracking number. I feel your pain though. I've had some crooked buyers. I had a woman buy a pristine early Mickey Mantle baseball card from me. A few days after I shipped it I get a phone call. It's the buyer (got my number from ebay) she proceeds to tell me I'm going to give her a refund. I told her no. "I'm going to send you back a low grade card and tell ebay I returned the one I bought and they will give me a refund" she was right... They did. The only good thing she left me no feedback.

The really frustrating part about this is a bigger seller ignores everyone and just says oh well. The people that do have some pull there don't use it.
