Looks like a nice vf30 to me but there is what looks like intentional damage on the shield. Doesn't look like it would cause it to be details graded, especially for this series, but I would net grade it down one notch to vf25.

I have the "same" date in 30 that is nearly a twin to this one.

I'd take a closer look at the obverse eye to insure that it hasn't been reengraved.

Nope. The eye is fine. It has a bit better strike and the marks in front of the eye had me wondering.

It's perfectly good.

I always look for re-engraved details on any of the busts, primarily because my very first bust purchase, a half dollar, had that problem.

Overly skittish on my part.
