Ah Yes, Clash! sorry bout that, I ve only been collecting for a year and a half so I am not very good with the lingo! This is exciting though. Paid $33 on ebay, so I hope it comes out being the 1909 VDB FS 1102!

Here is how the 1101-normal-1102 side by side to see the differences:

Coop, In your opinion, do you think it is 1102?

Yes. The SW corners on the LIBERTY are the convincing thing to me. Creating these images made me note that more than the die chip issues. ( Look for the doubling and not the markers)

Awesome! Thank you so much everyone! I think I am going to get it graded since the consensus is that this is the 1102.

There are a couple of marks by the bow tie. If they are damage it will hurt the grade. So see if they are incuse?

Grade-wise, I'd say 64RD.

I concur, MS64 RD. But we all know that with TPG's it's all about keeping the population percentages desirable for the registry set collectors as well as keeping the value of the particular variety from depreciating too much within a grade and the grade immediately below it. So you might be pleasantly surprised or utterly appalled when you get it back. IMHO. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

BTW, to my knowledge, PCGS is the only TPG that will attribute the FS-1102. NGC will not because it hasn't made it onto their approved variety list yet. And of course ANACS will pretty much attribute anything you send them.

Here is the coin in hand, just received it today. What grade would you give this? The two dots below the chin are very small and incuse, but not very noticeable even at 10X's.
