As a baseball fan, that is awesome. The DiMaggio signature is in pretty good shape and not convoluted by any of the others as well. This is an excellent piece for an auction and would attract buyers of both numismatic and sports interests.

It certainly is a one of a kind for the reasons mentioned. BAseball, WW2 and Currency.
Its also unique because of all the signatures on it. truly a one of a kind.
It will take someone special to buy it. Someone who really appreciates it.

Baseball HOF donation is a good idea if you can get a solid appraisal.

As I said before, looking at recent short snorters with signatures of note leads me to believe around $1500 the figure to expect. Looking at recent heritage auctions, the $400 estimate Lettow gave seems way off base to me.

If you do donate it, a reasonably sizable charitable deduction such as $1500k - $5000k could raise eyebrows, especially if there's anything else flag-worthy on your return. An appraisal will be important if that's the path you choose.
Personally (and I'm no expert) I think Xavier is probably in the ballpark (if you'll excuse the pun).

The only recent DiMaggio autographed note that sold on Heritage was in October 2017 when a 1969B $5.00 FRN sold for $312.00.
It is a nicer note with cleaner signature.

I'm definitely interested in hearing the continuing story!
If you can get on "Antiques Roadshow" or heck, even "Pawn Stars", that would be pretty cool and probably a note they'd feature since it does have such a recognizable name. I've seen Short Snorters before on both shows.

Yeah, I thought of Pawn Stars as well, but...it is a pawn shop and I'm sure they would low ball me with some ridiculous offer.
I still have not heard back from Heritage Auctions. Perhaps they get tons of submissions. Who knows.

As I stated originally, there is much more than a signature to this note, there is the story attached to it as well. I can't imagine there many (if any other) notes like this out there that DiMaggio signed while he was in the Military during World War Two, let along all of the other signatures attached to this note as well.
