E&V, with all the error searching you do I'm surprised you haven't picked up a scope by now. I think it would really help your searching

You're welcome. Kinda weird to see one this small. A lot of people would've probably miss this one. Bump111, since you said that, I am going to buy one on Amazon after I'm done creating my account.

Hopefully. I will start using it once it comes in the mail and I'll replace my phone camera with this. :)

Nice little baby Cud. I may be seeing things but, is the reverse rim flattened a bit under the N in ONE? If it is and that corresponds to the Cud on the obverse, that's further proof it's the real deal. I don't know if that effect will be produced or not on such a small example.

Thank you Tootallious! It was definitely a great find and it's now my 3rd Cud I've found. It does take patiences and a good eye for this. Spruett001, I see a line under the N in One were the Cud is, but it might be a coin ding. I think a Cud that size wouldn't be enough to get the weakness on the rims.

Thank you jbuck and dave700x. It's a Cud in its beginning stages of life. Eventually, this Cud got so big to the point where there was a huge void in the die. The Mint probably didn't retire this die until the Cud got too huge. :)

A perfect example of why the term "major die break" is a ludicrous substitute. If you're going to substitute a word for " Cud", then a better option would be "corner die break". Of course, this doesn't distinguish a Cud from a rim Cud, but that's unavoidable.

So Mike Diamond, what are you trying to say here? I'm a little bit confused here.

A rim Cud ids actually what Coop showed the other day, a disturbance on the upset rim of the die itself. It isn't a break of the actual face and detail portion but what forms the rim. I've made a diagram but not handy now
