Make sure no seam on rim, reeds line up. It it is genuine you did score for sure, don't know, these are more faked than a 1909SVDB!

yeah got it on bid from a very reputable dealer but I asked about it and got no reply yet hmmmmm
Estimate is that there are about 10K fakes. Maybe still reasonable to keep.

Position is about right, its been heavily worn from circulation, or MM could been later added or tooled. But without 3rd party authentication it is only as good as what other have commented.
This been counterfeited forever!

yeah and the 3rd party is just that. another opinion. I don't want it slabbed so I will keep it in collection and show it around at shows. Thanks All. It is still fun albeit expensive fun. Ha. Rich

A 16-D really should be authenticated. You will always gain more value than the submission costs.

Only if radatat want to sell it, slab one brings more money than a non-slab one, especially in this case, otherwise; keep it however one prefers.

Looks genuine but this is an inexpensive coin in that condition. It's very heavily worn and damaged, worth maybe $100 if it's genuine. I'd save my money and try to find a certified piece that's around $200.

I check about 28 of these to see what the mint mark locations look like:  The shape looks a bit different, but the location on the 4th image looks the closest. (coin wear will widen devices as the coin wear down) Edited by coop

 w/ #4, notice the upper serif is a tad bit shorter than #3, those by location are close. |

The coin you posted is a raw piece with Fair Details and is damaged. If you spend some time looking around you'll find a certified piece that is damaged with Poor or Fair details for little more than $200. Imo worth getting authenticated. Wouldn't cost that much to send to ANACS, and you'd get that fee back when/if you sell it. Then you could crack it out if you don't like the slab.
