All of the coins in the April release are still available as pre-order on the RCM website; none are showing "Awaiting Stock" so it may only be CC&C's allocation that is OOS. With a mintage of 4,000 for the UFO and 5,000 for the Thunderbird, I doubt they will sell out before they are generally available from the RCM website. |

I did decide to order the "Magnificent Bald Eagles" one-ounce silver coin. I've always been a fan of the bald eagle - I've got two or three framed images of them hanging in my home - and have purchased a number of the RCM's recent (2013 to present) silver bald eagle coins. I liked the three-head design of the new coin and, as it is different from the designs on the other coins I have, it was a rather easy decision for me. I'll post a picture when my coin arrives. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved.

The bizarre Falcon Lake coin was just sold out, which isn't surprising to me. An unusual coin is always sold out fast. However, the subsequent ones are less likely so.

New release in my email today - 1/4 ounce $3 Silver Caribou. Guess I will eventually fill those spots on the 20/4/20 case. They claim it is part of a subscription - where coin #1 was $34.95 Maple leaves, and this is coin #2 at $19.95, and Coin #3 is yet to be released/designed, but will be $29.95  Edited by Dcadon

To anyone interested in the Falcon Lake coin, it is still available at the Canada Post website @ $129.95 Free ship. I'm not really fond of this coin, as it is colored, but apparently it glows in the dark? Makes an interesting conversation piece, anyway, regarding the 1967 UFO encounter story...

@allspice..thanks for the Falcon Lake coin heads up..I was too late for the RCM so I bought 3 on ebay and thanks to you I ordered 2 more from the PO...so ive got 5 out of 4000 coins....This will be a hot coin judging by several factors...UFO themed coins are rare outside of star wars and star trek series...anyways I'm going to start a new thread on this coin so I will save my posting for that thread..I havent posted for a year or more but this coin got my attention. |
