Opps! This one is completely stripped & a few other things I found strange.. The groove on rim and the weird thing is it's larger in diameter than a normal cent? as you can see from the photo. I placed a random penny on top    |

Texas Cent?  Looks like the coin was placed between two pieces of leather, and hit hard with a big hammer. That makes the plating fall off the coin as it is stretched larger than the plating. |

Texas Cent sure makes sense  Sometimes, coins found in metal detecting get cleaned in chemicals. Any bent coin get a whack to make it flat..
