In my own defence: I feel as if I am a supporter of this fine site by being active on the site. Many new members do not have to wait very long for a response which makes this site a popular one. I answer posts the best I can, and I think all of this makes this site heads above the rest. I can not afford a monetary donation,so I donate my time. Thank you for reading. John1  |

I really wish this part of the forum would go back to the way it was. I took a month off, came back and wasn't happy with this particular change. This pay stuff is kind of silly to me. Kids and those on a tight budget simply can't afford to do it. That isn't my problem, however, as I'm not going pay for something that was once free more out of principle than anything else. How about making it only for those of us with say 500 or 1,000 posts and remove the money thing?

It wasn't newbies causing the issues. It was long time members. Sorry it had to go down like this but it was a ROYAL pain in the butt. Complaints almost every single day. Just. Not. Worth. It. Problems are now gone, every one is civil. If they become bad again with the current setup then the next step is for it to just go away. |

There were several other forums on here where I made more reports to staff than there. Seems like the GD board was unfairly singled out. CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! If you honestly thought that I was trying to make you mad then why didn't you PM me and ask me what I meant by my post? Trust me, If I wanted to make you mad you would know it and I have absolutely no intentions of doing that! |

I'm sure that there is so much behind the scenes work that needs to happen for the forum to run as smooth as it does. More than most of us realize. The last thing that the mods and admin needs is an added workload for subject matter unrelated to the main reason we're all here. Thank you! All I was trying to do is to remind folks that it is very unbecoming to judge a person when they really don't know who they are. I wasn't trying to start any trouble and I apologize if it came across as so.
