Congrats on finding the Omaha Club again!
Lincoln club split into two groups - in case you ever head west!

My wife went with me tonight and I attended my first meeting since 2010. I wound up joining and had beginner's luck; won the raffle, walked out with a 1962 Canada Dollar BU. The wife really got into it, bought some Walking Liberty halves, now she wants to look at my coins, she never seemed interested before. This may be the start of an interesting phase of my hobby life. Thanks to all who responded.

Reopening this thread.I went to some meetings and then drifted away. Want to go back and clicked on the link above to check on the next meeting date. I get some site in Chinese, clearly not the Coin club. Did a Google search and couldn't find anything other than this link. Anyone local know whats going on?

There's contact information on this page -- maybe that will help.

Coin clubs are not as popular as they used to be. Around where I live they all seamed to just fade away.

If you joined the club in April aren't they sending you a newsletter or some kind of monthly meeting notice?

Thanks. I sent a message so we'll see.
I attended a few meetings over last Summer and got the feeling the club was sort of fading away.

They apparently don't send out a newsletter. It is on the site and you can read or download it. I sent a message via the link that Alpha provided and no reply as yet. I am not holding my breath. Why can't clubs have officials who look at their email one in awhile?
This isn't looking good.

So if you get back into the club volunteer to take over responsibility for the newsletter. Apparently they need someone responsible to do so, as you pointed out yourself.

Update: Still nothing. I never heard back from a message I left with their contact person. Website still down. They are no longer listed on the ANA site as a club. I think they are no more. Omaha is a city with over 700,000 in their metro area. I cannot imagine what could be going on here. Incredible.

Update: They are still out there. I managed to find a # for their secretary, called him and he confirmed their meeting place and is emailing me several newsletters. They apparently had a show recently, I never saw anything publicizing it. I think this happens with a lot of clubs, members get older and they lack people with the know how to maintain websites, etc. Turns out the October meeting was last night so I will need to wait until November.
