Quote: Honestly most do, but with that said there just aren't any alternatives. There's no legit competition for them which is part of the problem. Meshok? Craigslist? That one Chinese site that starts with Ali? Not that I'm saying that any of those are better than ebay.

There may be parts of the world where they do due to outside internet restrictions but overall especially in western countries they would basically be a field mouse to ebay being the 800 pound gorilla when it comes to coins.

J1M, that's apples to oranges. Those are just retailers not a collective of seller. ebay has some that have that business model, unfortunately can't mention the one I use here tho, seems to be a restricted link from years ago...have had no problems so far?

You can cry moan and carry on all you want about ebay , but until something better comes along , you either whine or play on their ball field . We have been selling on ebay quite successfully since Oct 2000 . Sure ebay has changed over the years and the buyer is almost always right . That said the positives outway the negatives by far. The negative Nellies almost invariably are not business oriented , have nothing of importance to sell and have a feedback score of less than a hundred . To be successful in business selling anything , you have to be a positive optimist at all times and never a victim.

Quote: The negative Nellies almost invariably are not business oriented , have nothing of importance to sell and have a feedback score of less than a hundred . This part is actually not true. For buyers yes it would be, but most of the sellers who are the most fed up with the changes or getting scammed are the long time ones and it's mainly the long time ones that stopped. There's plenty of crazy comments from people that rarely or never use it like when people say it's risky to buy there, but with that said sellers do have a lot of legitimate complaints with the search changes and their push for no questions asked crazy return periods.

Where does one find this "manage offers" setting?

Silverwolf, No advance warning on the times before this one email, they just did it, found out when I received an offer. This is first time email received. Funny it comes on the heels of a "change to user po;icy" notice...hmmmm? NSS52, IDK the answer, is why this is driving me nuts. Only thing I can figure is these two places I just changed hoping that is it?

thanks crazyb0, I think a call to customer service is required, as much as I cringe myself to the thought, of calling, I would be p.o. if someone over took my auctions, and changed my listings, this should never happen with out you giving them the green light.. and I realize you still get to accept, decline or counter an offer, but that should be at your own doing, not at ebay's whim..

From what they've said in the past its for new and occasional sellers that use the quick listing tool. Switch to advanced listing tool and it should go away or sell more I guess. They think it drives sales for smaller sellers.

crazy...there is a red arrow pointing to "manage offer settings" in the first image you posted. Where does that take you?

Nss52, takes me here, there is NO setting changes to be made on this page, so to me is a bogus link on eBays part! https://ofr.ebay.com/offerapp/bo/sh...282942545418As Baseball stated they think they are trying to help, by removing your control over your account. Welcome to the Gulag, Comrade!

(off the subject a bit, but your description says "Asking $33.00" but the listing is a buy it now for $29.99)
What you are describing would tee me off royally.

Thanks for pointing that out, NSS, That was the first price I listed it at, forgot to change it when I lowered the price!

An update to this same topic. After straightening out my listings to get them back to my preferred "BIN" listings, much to my chagrin, I find this on my selling page today... Waddya do? Cancel listings I guess.
