I know the pictures aren't the best but the cent is exactly like the images on wexlers site. All the die markers are matches to his images.
I will try to get some better pictures.

That is WDDR-003, great find! Die scratches match. Someone else just posted one of these and everyone said it wasn't a DDR, apparently they didn't learn their lesson. |

"UNI" shows no notching on your coin. On Wexler's you can see it on the bottom of the "NI". The "U" clearly shows Machine Doubling. Notice how the right upright is narrowed on the high point. |

I'm going send it off to John Wexler and see what he come back with. It is hard to get the pictures, that shows the same as what John Wexler has on his site.

Thanks Coop for the pictures. I sent this coin to John Wexler yesterday. I compared it on Variety Vista and it is listed as a DDR-002 Stage C. Also on Coppercoins DDR-002 Class 5. The die markers on the obverse where as listed and the die clash in the third bay is there too. I have a cheap microscope so it is hard to get the right photos to show everything on it. So will see what John Wexler says. Thanks everyone for your valued feed back. Jim

I received this from John Wexler today on this coin. Hello James, I have processed the coin that you submitted for attribution in a package postmarked June 4, 2018. Your analysis of your 1983 Lincoln Cent is spot on. It is indeed a specimen of 1983 1¢ WDDR-003 just as you described it to be. Anyone that was calling it Mechanical Doubling was way off. Congratulations on the nice find. It is already illustrated on the appropriate page of my website. I plan to use your find in my "Varieties Notebook" column in Coin World. It is scheduled to appear in the November 19, 2018 installment of that column. If you should decide to send the doubled die to ANACS to be slabbed with the Wexler File number, be sure to include a copy of this letter along with the coin. The die state was in a later die state and almost all of the normal items were pretty much gone at this point making it seem like it was not that die. The E on one and cent was the last thing left from what I could see. Now he has it confirmed for his records. Good job.
