Thanks Mark. Yes, it is technically a 'IIB', so I changed the title. This one also has the 'FL+' designation, indicating the break goes below the lowest level of the letters.

I must have misunderstood. Why isn't this called a BIE? I thought BIE was all encompassing to chips happening in any of the letters in LIBERTY.

Thanks coop for the visual. I was aware of the '4 square mm' rule, I was just using the terminology that COC's uses for these.

chafemasterJ: I call them a 'BIE' also but what Mark (thanks for the photo insert) mentioned is the designation they receive depending on the position of the break/chip.
