Quote: ...stay focused on why we're here. That is the most important concern. I will not personally speak of myself in the third person perspective, but really, when reading Meow's posts, it is simple to mentally insert the grammatically correct pronouns if you wish. Other than that, it's about username, and as I pointed out previously, one can make it whatever they wish. That is why I'm not "Squinty." Quote: This from the melancholy phlegmatic mind... I took a test a bit back, and my result was the same. Quote: So Meow will ask, if Meow wants to put this Cats first significant find in a Guardian holder; Why is that not good enough for anyone? I haven't seen the comments that made you feel inferior. I am a low budget collector, so there is nothing I will be dangling over everyone's collective head. Choose the holder that you find appropriate for the coin. My only concern would be if it is 100% coin safe. Beyond that, it is your choice.

Quote: Meow cant understand why that would be? Just because you don't understand doesn't make it less true. Many people find you posting in the third person as a cat, sometimes in every single sentence in a post, very annoying. It's just a fact whether you understand or not.

Quote: Are you sure that your coins require this added expense? Just askin' (no offence intended). Quote: As I look at your coins in your Guardian holder and some of your other coins in previous posts I tend to agree with Spence's comment . So in other words, "Your collection is too cheap for nice holders", says one. And the other says "I agree".

Think of it as "Those holders are too much for those coins." Just like you wouldn't pick a picture frame that made a painting look bad, the holders and coins should complement each other. You shouldn't put perfect 70 gold bullion in a $3 cardboard folder. Likewise, you shouldn't put a parking lot coin under glass on your mantle. If you do get an expensive holder, you may find the coin doesn't to justice and you'll look for a better coin. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's probably not what you really want right now.

In all seriousness, Meow is at this moment putting 1970s UNC dimes in nice holders. Is some one here going to call the police on Meow? The charge will be putting cheap coins in too nice of a holder in the first degree. 1970 d Gem BU that is good enough for Cats

Oh, and if Meow obtains a 1949s Gem BU dime in the future. Meow can always open the holder and exchange it with the 1970d. You guys all know that the coin is not permanently in that holder like a graded holder right?

Just to clarify, my request for an ignore function predates Meow and is directed at ignoring others.

Quote: Thanks, Meow was seriously offended and was considering leaving. Ummmm not to state the obvious but surely you knew some eyebrows would be raised by acting like a cat and talking in the third person. No reason to get offended when not everyone appreciates or sees the humor in it. This is a big forum with a wide array of ages and personalities. Some opinions you may not like and others you may. Big deal either way. That is life in the human world cat.

OK, sigh........Tell ya what, if one person would say you don't want Meow here; Meow will delete all posts and leave. You want Meow gone? Just one person reply here to say so and Meow will be gone. That's a promise.
Meow should of kept Meow's desire to collect coins to Meowself.

Are the choices?: 1) Continue posting as a cat in third person 2) Delete all posts and leave
I'm not a fan of either. You're sharing interesting and nice things and asking great questions. I wonder if there is a third option...

Cats will be Cats. Meow is going to bed now. When Meow wakes, Meow will see if this will end or not.

SilverDollar2017 is in favor that you stay at the CCF. SilverDollar2017 thinks there is no reason for you to leave. All joking aside, no reason for you to leave. Just ignore the haters, and stay at the CCF!

Enough. I will see how many more complaints I get and make the decision or you all can go find a drama forum to hash it out.
