Dorado, from my understanding, a Pedigree is for a renown collector/collection, who is either gone, or had a very extensive collection which was recognized by the grading company or the auction company. For example, the Neil Armstrong Collection which is for sale at the moment and is listed as "The Man on The Moon" or like this 1942 Tombac Nickel, which is from the "JH Campbell Collection". Cheers Kevin

P.s. The coin went for conservation, and came back with foreign substances removed, revealing a beautiful purple hue, from the original red envelope that it was given to Mr. Campbell in. The coin now resides in a sp64 holder!

This coin was in an old seal ICCS holder when I received it. There was a sticker on the holder attributing it to the Mason Collection but no attribution on the holder itself. I have not been able to find the coin in a catalogue to confirm the attribution. Can anybody out there help me confirm or verify if the coin was actually from the Mason Collection and what the background of the Mason Collection is? Thanks for your help.

Torex Auction - 26 October 2002 - Lot 595. Did not sell in the auction, so obviously sold later.
ICCS MS-65 Ex Mason. Douglas Mason assembled a large, high quality Canada, Newfoundland, and Maritime Collection that sold in three sales in 2002 and 2003.
