It does appear to struck through a dropped letter. I don't know what premium that may command as an error. However, I don't think that premium justifies submitting it to a TPG. If you want to sell it, sell it raw.

It would command a good premium, but it wouldn't be worth sending it in to a TPG. You'll be better off keeping it raw, in a 2x2 coin flip. Although, it's up to you.

That's a dropped struck through letter. Really nice find!

Cool thanks for the advice I'll drop it in a 2x2 now I have a batch I recently purchased. Not too sure if I'm gonna dump it now. Maybe when they become a hot commodity. I've never heard of this error before now. Which makes me want to hold on to it hoping it'll attract higher prices. What would you guess it's worth?

While not much of an error, they probably only happen once, then the struck through goes away with the coin. If it gets stuck again it will probably be just a blob. The bigger the better.

The nickel does have a dropped letter. I am, however, skeptical about the incuse, mirror-image R or B on Lincoln's brow that Coop posted. Any isolated, incuse mirror-image element located on a high-relief area is likely to be a contact mark from another coin. All the other dropped fillings that Coop posted are legitimate.

Warriorz510, I got an estimate on how much it's worth. I contacted Mike Diamond, and he said this in a email.

Thanks guys I appreciate all of your help and research! Respect!! I have a much broader idea about this type of error. I think it's one of the best errors there is!(besides Doubled Dies)

@Warriorz It's awesome to get confirmation from the best in the business (coop & mikediamond). I have yet to own an example of this error type. Now that you know how it is created, you can imagine that it is somewhat of a rare event. Congrats!
