Reporting to Etsy does nothing, they don't even care about blatant counterfeits. What would you report this for anyway? You're allowed to ask whatever you want for things. Do you really want venues policing what your allowed to ask for the things you sell?

To be fair, there are many quality items with professional craftsmanship on Etsy, just don't look for coins there. If someone actually did buy one of those, view it as them paying their Idiot Tax.

Don't shop for coins on Etsy. They have tons of fakes and overpriced coins (like this one) that are just average coins from circulation.

I read an article a while back that exposed a few of the devious tactics that criminals were using to sell drugs or launder money online in legitimate ways and this looks exactly like one of them. The article referred to the Bay as their website of choice but I guess it would work on Etsy too if it's anything like ebay. (Personally, I've never heard of it until now.)

JDRMCB, Etsy is just like ebay, except it's even worse, when you're trying to shop for coins. There's a lot of very dishonest seller, and sellers that do not know what they are talking about, when they try to sell coins. For coins, I would completely stay away from Etsy.

Quote: Etsy is just like eBay I have to disagree. The purpose of Etsy, whether explicitly enforced or not, is to offer vintage and handmade goods to potential buyers. So, coins may qualify for being "vintage" but selling a 2017 Ford Focus doesn't fit. There are other platforms, such as Poshmark, doing the same thing. They supposedly restrict what you can and cannot sell, except they don't. Anyway, those two are relative start-ups compared to ebay and I would never lump them together.

Fairly sure seller is from Venezuela and has confused his former inflated currency values when converting to USD...

Spruett, you missed my point. I said Etsy is worse, when shopping for coins. Other than that, it's okay to shop there, for other stuff.
