OK, I will bring this poll back 1 MORE TIME-- I know we have had many new members join, AND I KNOW we have many more females in this place-- This will be my FINAL attempt to get our ladies to show themselves and PROVE my point of this initial poll-- If the numbers stay as they are, I will ask one of our mods to close this poll since it is NOT truthful-- Remember ladies, you MUST be logged in to vote--You can vote BUT you do not have to post--just be logged in and VOTE!!--LAST CHANCE LADIES---

Well I think I may have voted, but then maybe not. That's what happens when you reach 40. (okay, okay, 45) I only started collecting about a year ago, but have some other hobbies, I built dollhouses for about 8 years and collected all kinds of miniatures to go with them. The last doll house was 6 feet wide and 4 feet high with 14 rooms. It was no longer a "miniature" hobby and took up way too much space. Not to mention the tools that went with it. I have my own small scale drills & bandsaw!!!!!!!!!!! Coins take up a lot less space but tend to weight a lot more. When my grandaughter is old enough she's going to inherit a huge doll house and hopefully a nice collection of coins!!!!! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!! Margaret

Female-Born in the year of a most unusual Lincoln Penny. (This is the answer I usually give when someone asks my age). 99% of the people have no clue. Of course in this forum, it's a dead give-a-way!! LOL I grew up on a farm, and started collecting stamps when I was about 8 or 9. I'd see ads in the comic magazines my cousin would hand down to me. I think it was a company called Littleton, or something close to that. I couldn't wait till the mailman delivered my glassine envelope full of stamps from all over the world. I'd sit and look at the foreign words, trying to figure out which country each stamp represented, and put it in the right shape in my big old stamp book. I got really good at the words and figuring out where they belonged. After awhile, most of the spaces were full, and I thought my endevor was complete. Of course I had tons of duplicates. LOL Then in junior high I was the cashier at lunchtime, and fell in love with the old coins that went through my hands everyday. I used my babysitting money to trade for the Barber dimes and Liberty quarters. I wanted to keep them because I thought they were so beautiful. I never thought about their value increasing. Later in the sixties, I gravitated back to collecting once again. Going through bags of coins every night after putting my little ones to sleep. Just picking out the low mintage coins. Now my goal was increased value. Hmmmmm things do change. LOL
