Will the coins actually stay in place without some sort of adhesive? It think it looks cool, but would worry about gravity.

The coins are probably holding each other up, with those on the bottom resting on the bottom frame portion.

Looks fantastic. However, remember to make sure no excessive moisture can get to those coins. As to Albums. Remember most Albums are for on time of coin except those type set ones. This means if you wanted to put all of them in Albums, you would have to buy numerous Albums. Then too if you wanted to see your coins, you would be opening and closing all kinds of Albums. Then too there is the storage problem with many Albums. No, stick to your frame. It is a lot cheaper and better for visual effects.

If the coins are close to the same thickness I'm guessing it should work out well. If there are some thin coins, they have a chance to slip past others (at least partially), unless they are hemmed in by thick coins and can't escape. Or, if there is a compressible backing (thick fabric or foamed plastic)
I think you'll find out soon enough. You can always adjust to correct if that happens.

Very nice!

Yes the compressible backing sounds good, thank you for the advice!

You could always throw them in some air-tites if you're worried about damage or moisture or whatever.
