Ok. I'm updating this with 12 more photos to get angles and sides. More photos than needed...but nothing new from me. Let me know the consensus...MS-67 FB or not after seeing these. Thx

Oh man...I see what you are saying the 3 horizontal bands but the one at the bottom. Is basebal21 correct though? on the description of full bands? would this be the poor man's 55 Mercury dime full bands?

I have to agree that TPG only required the center band to be fully separate, but outside of it, each one have their own definition of what makes FB.

Also, its lacking luster from those pictures, even thought is a 67, it would be low end of the scale.

FSB has been a topic for discussion for quite some time. PCGS does only look at the middle band but NGC has conflicting description about it. to me the term states "Full Split Bands" not "Full Split Band" to me that means all three. Even PCGS site states "Full Split Bands" as the official term so I don't understand their decision to only look at the middle band. I don't know if this is just a personal decision on this but I would not pay FSB price unless all three are separated. that's just me.

2.5 out of 3....not too shabby then...but 3 is the goal ok. As long as that's the known consensus.

well no carl....no frog.....going forward I'm going to very carful now when buying high end Mercury dimes.....but just like in life......make sure to get everything split....split checks, split bands, split personalities......there's a pill for the last one.

Full Split Bands: I've given up trying to find a truly consistent application of standards by the two major TPGs, but then I guess you could say that about any other criteria as well. The TPG submission game is all a crapshoot and no experienced collector would deny it.

That said, the Doc's well-intended efforts to show us his impressive collection seldom include images that are even close to worthy of critical discussion.

No it's not. That is a common misconception from people with no experience though
