Pictures aren't great. EF/45+ coin. Edward obverse are notorious for softer strikes. I can point out some high grade coins in which the crown is barely visible. One thing I dislike about PCGS holders is that they mask the rim of the coin which often tells the story. Here is an exaggerated example of a higher grade coin..

Hey CoinHunter, thanks for the opinion. I need to invest on a camera.....

By the way this coin is graded by CCCS. I also have another posted. 1908 on another thread.

EF40, perhaps EF45. The Edwards are typically pretty weakly struck.

I totally agree!! I am starting to like the grading standards of CCCS. I think they are pretty accurate.

Also their slabs are solid for the price.

CCCS could be a canadian competition to ICCS like NGC is to PCGS in the states.

See...I was bang on...PCGS EF45...lol...I would guess ICCS would do the same. As seen already, whoever or whatever is left of Canadian graders in 10 years, they will get dragged up to the US TPG standard. You already see it with ICCS 2 digit vs 3 digit holders and that creep will continue. Especially that there are more Americans buying Canadian coins than Canadians.

CCCS has always been on the low ranking of grading standards....

I like them, not because of these coins but because they have whatever it takes to challenge ICCS and perhaps become a leader in the canadian grading industry.

Thats my opinion

Alan, if you read back through the thread my comment will make sense. I didn't pay attention to the original header and just looked at the holder. I initially assumed this was a PCGS holder....
