Try in a window sill the has reduced lighting. (Not direct sunlight) Too much will make the coin glare.

Still a sheen on the obverse image. Causing the sheen is un-diffused light. If you could make a screen with a wire coat hanger and place the plastic from a plastic grocery bag, you might be able to cut the excess glare. You take a hanger and bend the cross bar into a square box shape: Then tape with clear tape to make a diffusing curtain. That should help remove the glare. If it doesn't try using tissue paper or computer paper to cut the excess light.

Can you share an image of the edge of the coin? Since the coins were plated before getting punched out of the sheets, there may be light rust colored lines on the edge of the coin. Reprocessed coins will not have these rusty striations.

Looks like the coin was rusted and now staring to rust again. But something was added to the coin to cover up the rust. The areas of different color on the obv and rev maybe the rust trying to come through?

Thanks for the follow up image. I forget to look at the third side of my coins all the time.
I definitely agree with Coop. The original rusting would be in a straight line on the edge. Usually thin straight lines caused by the edges of the press scraping the blank as it was punched out.

Doesn't look reprocessed to me. I don't see any doubling.

Quote: Doesn't look reprocessed to me........ The rust on the edge is leaching/leaking through the reprocessed coating and looking kind of undefined and like a blob. If it was original the rust would have been linear and fairly thin.
